  • 8 oz linguine
  • Salted water, for boiling
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente (9-11 minutes). Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne (optional), salt, and pepper. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat; add chicken and cook until golden brown (3–4 minutes per side).
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low; add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard; simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Add heavy cream and Parmesan; stir until smooth.
