  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick rounds and brush both sides with olive oil. Place on a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef (or turkey), onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg until well combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture onto each cabbage slice into patties.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes; then add cheese on top and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted.
