  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for glaze)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast the pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the toasted pecans gently.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool before drizzling with glaze made from melted butter, brown sugar, milk, and powdered sugar.
