  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour and brown sugar in a bowl; cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar for the caramel layer, stirring constantly until bubbling; cook for one minute more.
  5. Pour caramel over the crust and pecans; bake for 18-20 minutes until golden.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let sit to soften before spreading into an even layer.
