  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup apple juice (or chicken broth)

  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper and place them in the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together apple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined. Pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 3 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry; whisk into the sauce to thicken.
