Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if you'd like some heat), salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. Boil salted water and cook linguine until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add drained pasta to the sauce; mix well. Return chicken to the pan and toss everything together.
