  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tube (8-count) crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and melted butter until creamy.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough into triangles; flatten each slightly.
  4. Spoon the chicken mixture onto each triangle's widest part, fold edges over to seal.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake on a lined sheet for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour and cook briefly. Gradually add milk and heavy cream while stirring until thickened; stir in Parmesan cheese.
