  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2¼ cups plain flour
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 grams unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dry oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon cooking salt
  • ¾ teaspoon cooking salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a greased loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped herbs, crushed garlic, olive oil, and salt.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk yogurt, milk, eggs, melted butter, and remaining garlic.
  5. Mix wet and dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Layer batter in pan with herb mixture and cheese slices; repeat layers.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes; cover with foil and bake an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Cool before slicing.
