  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl and stir in sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix this into the wet ingredients until just blended.
  3. Pour brownie batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Let cool completely.
  4. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth in a separate bowl. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream; whisk until silky.
