  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened) for filling
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed) for filling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for filling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoon milk for glaze
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled) for glaze

Instructions

  1. Cream together the room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter with brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
  5. Scoop out dough; form into wells to fill with the cinnamon mixture. Seal tightly.
