  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. In another bowl, mix torn hamburger buns with melted butter and sesame seeds.
  5. In a baking dish, layer half of the beef mixture followed by half of the bun mixture, then half of the special sauce and cheese. Repeat these layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and add American cheese slices; bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
