  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apple pieces (100 g)
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  2. Toast pecans in a small pan until fragrant; set aside to cool.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy; add egg and mix well.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and toasted pecans gently.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
